INVITATION for BIDS (IFB) Guyana
Guyana Solid Waste Management Improvement Project Procurement of Solid Waste Management Equipment
The Government of Guyana has received financing from the India-Brazil-South Africa Co-operation toward the cost of the Guyana Solid Waste Management Improvement Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the Contract for the Procurement of Solid Waste Equipment.
The Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development, Fort Street, Kingston, Georgetown hereinafter referred to as “the Procuring Entity”, now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Procurement of:
Lot 1 – 2 Garbage Disposal Compactor Trucks
Lot 2 – 2 Mini-Excavators
Lot 3 – 30 Garbage Collection Bins
Bidders can apply for 1 or more Lots
Qualifications requirements include: Business Registration, Valid NIS Certificate, Valid GRA Certificate (National Bidders Only).

All Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked on the outside “Procurement of Solid Waste Equipment” indicating clearly the respective Lot(s) E.g. Lot 1 – Garbage Disposal Trucks, Lot 2 – Mini -Excavators and Lot 3 – Garbage Bins for the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development.
Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 3rd June, 2014 at 9:00hrs. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders or bidder’s representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 9:00hrs on 3rd June, 2014.
All bids must be a ccompanied by a Bid Security to the sum of (Lot 1-1,500,000 GYD; Lot 2 – 750,000 GYD and Lot 3 – 50,000 GYD or equivalent in United States Dollars not later than 09:00 hours on “3rd”day of June, 2014 at the address: Chairman, National Procurement and Tender Administration Board, Ministry of Finance, Main and Urquhart Streets Georgetown.
